How To Use The Sample Beauty Pigments

If you’ve not tried the Sample Beauty Pigments yet, we’re here to tell you that you’re missing out. Seriously. These customisable matte, sparkle, and shimmer pigments can be mixed with your fave shades and products to be used pretty much anywhere, giving you total control over the looks you create.

This weekend, we caught up with brand founder Clo Bell, who gave us all the deets, tricks, and tips for perfectly applying the Insta-famous pigments that the beauty world can’t get enough of. Scroll for the lowdown.

– For an ultra-strong hold that stays put, apply Sample Beauty Glitz Glue to the lids, waiting 5 – 10 seconds for the glue to become tacky

– For a strong hold that wipes away with water, use Sample Beauty Infinity In One Beauty Gel, again allowing 5 – 10 seconds to dry to a tacky finish

– For a wet concealer base, apply Sample Beauty Erase And Boost Base to the lids, moving straight onto step two whilst the base is still wet

– Using a flat brush or your finger, gently tap the pigment over the glue

– For matte pigments, apply in thin, even layers, repeating application to build up as needed

– Blend the pigment as desired

– Apply Sample Beauty Base Coat to the nails

– Wait for base coat to dry

– Seal with Sample Beauty Top Coat

– Place some Loose Eyeshadow Shimmer Pigment in the lid of the pigment jar

– Apply 2 – 3 drops of Sample Beauty Multi-Use Setting Liquid into the lid of the pigment jar

– Using a brush, mix the pigment and liquid in the lid until you get your desired consistency

– For matte pigments, Clo suggests a creamy consistency (thicker than water, but thinner than paint)

– Use an eyeliner brush to sweep the mixed pigment over the lash line

– Using a brush, mix the pigment with a clear gloss or lip balm until your desired consistency is achieved
